Prayers for Healing
When you or someone you love is sick, prayer can feel both urgent and hard to put into words. Scripture invites us to ask God for healing, and it also holds His nearness when the answer is slow.
We won't pretend to know how God will answer. We do know you don't have to pray alone. These prayers ask for healing, strength and comfort, and for the doctors and nurses who care for the sick. Please keep following your medical team's care; prayer and medicine are not enemies.
God,
Father, I come to You for healing. You see this body and this pain better than any scan or test. I'm asking You to touch it and to give strength where there is weakness. Give the doctors and nurses wisdom and steady hands. On the long days and the sleepless nights, be close enough to feel. And whatever the next report says, keep my heart anchored in You, because You are the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
