Prayers for Protection
We pray for protection when someone we love is on the road, in the hospital, overseas, or out late. We pray it when the news is frightening and when the house feels unsafe.
These prayers ask God to keep watch over the people you love. Below are the King James protection verses that believers have prayed for generations, including Psalm 91 and Psalm 121.
God,
Lord, You are my refuge and my fortress. I ask You to keep watch over me and the people I love today. Protect us on the roads, at work, at school, and through the night. Guard our minds from fear and our hearts from harm. Keep my children under the shadow of Your wings. Where I can't be, You are. Thank You that You neither slumber nor sleep.
