God,
I've prayed this prayer so many times I could say it in my sleep. I'm still waiting. I don't understand Your timing, but I trust Your heart. Keep me from settling while I wait, and keep me from bitterness. When it's time, let me know it was You.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Bible verses about waiting on the Lord
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
