God,

Sunday afternoons are the hardest. Church lets out, everyone goes home to someone, and the house is so quiet I can hear the clock. Remind me that I'm not forgotten. Sit with me in this quiet. And if someone else is alone today, show me who, so neither of us has to be.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Bible verses for when you feel alone

Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
