God,
Now that it gets dark so early, I pray protection over everyone on the road after sunset. Watch over the nurses on night shift, the truckers, the teenagers driving home from practice. Keep their eyes alert and their roads clear. Bring every one of them home safe.
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Bible verses about God's protection
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
